The teacher’s responsibilities will be to teach basic levels to the more advanced. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic record in French language and literature with an understanding of the communicative method of instruction. While special emphasis is placed on the ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines, there will also be a focus on the implementation of the new Partnership 21st Century Skills Map. The Department’s philosophy emphasizes multi-sensory, cooperative learning, with the teacher acting as facilitator for student discovery of concepts.
