The Academic Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of our French program, including placement, course design, syllabi, assignment of grades, and materials development and selection, as well as training, supervision and evaluation of TAs. The Academic Coordinator conducts weekly TA meetings for each level, observes classes and meets with TAs individually to discuss their performance. In addition, the Academic Coordinator for French meets regularly with the Academic Coordinators for other languages, the LLP staff, and the LLP Director to set program goals, and establish and implement overall policies. This includes participation as a member of the planning team for our annual three-day workshop for TAs prior to the start of classes in September, in which the Academic Coordinator plays a role as presenter, trainer, and facilitator.
